Michelle has been heavily involved in the Austin, TX and surrounding Hill Country wedding and special events industry for 20+ years. Before becoming a full-time event planner within her own company in 2010, she worked for local venues, a catering company, a charter ship, and two planning companies.
She has also consulted with numerous venue owners before, during and after the construction process. She believes her biggest talents lie in the overall planning and execution of an event because she does have such a well-rounded experience in the industry.
In 2009 Michelle earned the special designation Certified Professional Wedding and Event Planner (CPWEP) through Lovegevity Wedding Planning Institute and became an instructor for that course at Austin Community College from 2010 through 2013.
In 2014 she became a certified Professional Wedding Consultant (PWC) through the Nuptial Essentials Curriculum and Instruction (NECI) vocational school and now instructs that course to those interested in entering the Texas wedding industry.
In 2015 she became a member of the Austin Chapter of Wedding Network USA which is a local and national networking group of fellow event professionals. She accepted the position of Co-Membership Chair for that association in 2016 and is honored to serve as Chapter Director for the next two years.
In January 2017, she launched yet another planning business with a team oriented "one-stop-shop" concept called Austin Event Company.
Her numerous involvements in the wedding industry in and around Austin give her access to a huge and constantly growing network of local vendors which is a tremendous benefit to her clients.
Michelle has also won numerous awards within the Austin wedding market over the years including WeddingWire's Couple's Choice Award in 2014 and 2016 and Best Wedding Planner for Travis County from Bliss Bridal Magazine in 2015.
