Topic: Classing Up The Joint!
This month we will be taking a look at the growing trend of cannabis in events and weddings in Colorado! Bec will be diving into marijuana in the events industry including how to incorporate it into your events and how to maintain your business practices to include those who do and don't partake. She will be working through various questions on the legal and contractual aspects of cannabis in events as well as how to class up your events with a touch of 420!
Speaker: Bec Koop- Irie Events
Having grown up in her mother's floral shop, Bec always had a love for flowers and floral design. After a life changing snowmobiling accident, Bec chose to take a different path that took her back to her roots and childhood. She started her traditional floral design business in 2011 while living in high country Colorado and working part time at a dispensary.
Just prior to Colorado passing the laws for recreational cannabis, Bec had the grand idea to add cannabis into her floral designs which sparked the "ah-ha!" moment when cannabis weddings was brought to life. Along the journey, Bec met Madlyne and their lives would never be the same! They joined together in 2016 joining Buds & Blossoms and Cannabis Concierge Events into Irie Weddings & Events.
