Launching a new chapter in your local city!

Interested in starting a Chapter of Wedding Network in your area?

We need a Local Chapter Director to spearhead the starting of a new Chapter. Do the following qualities sound like you:

  • Be well known in the Local Wedding Community

  • Have an understanding of business basics relating to insurance, permits, licensing and local business laws

  • Communication

  • Organization

  • Public Speaking

  • Able to dedicate necessary time per month to Wedding Network development

  • Current trend knowledge of the wedding industry

  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations and catering documents is encouraged

A minimum of 15 paid member registrations is required to become a Probationary Chapter, and we are willing to offer a reduced rate for the first 90 days of only $129 to join, after the 90 days the rate increases to $199.

A Chapter must reach a minimum of 25 members, within the first 12 months of the Chapter inception to be transitioned to an established chapter. Along with the Local Chapter Director, a minimum of 3 Committee Chairs will be required, but the Chapter may certainly be initiated with just the Local Chapter Director. The committees are: Communication, Logistics, and Membership.

The local chapter has an available chair position to add value where it is needed most. Fellow chapters have had proven success with placing co-chairs in either the Chapter Director role or creating a position to cover Education topics. You will be able to chose this for your chapter with the oversight of the National Executive Team.

We have determined that these committees working with the Local Chapter Director can build a strong, welcoming Chapter to inspire its members and be an asset to Wedding Network.

  • Contact information

  • Business information, # of years in business; copy of your business license & insurance – 3 business references

  • Tell us why Wedding Network would be a fit in your local area

  • Give us a short 90 day start up plan to include:

    • How will membership be promoted?

    • Provide us with a list of your industry partners, 10 service providers and 5 venue providers

  • Agree to hold the position for 2 years

When approved, Wedding Network will issue you a Training and Operations Binder – a sign for your Chapter meetings, connection to the Vice President who will be able to answer questions and guide you along the way for startup. There are several benefits for the Local Chapter Director; a refund of dues after the Chapter reaches 25 members; complimentary attendance at all local Wedding Network meetings; and National recognition as a leader within the organization.
