Back from Wedding MBA – Now What?

Set Priorities – Take Action!

Every time I attend a conference I come back to my office brimming with new ideas, a new found energy and a commitment to change. Then reality sets in. There are too many emails to answer and too many fires to put out. Things get pushed to the back burner and then weeks later I am frustrated that I didn’t accomplish any of the new things I learned.

This year I left to go to the conference with a different mindset. That was to attend fully. I didn’t look at emails during the sessions, in fact I didn’t even really take notes. I absorbed. The things that truly resonated with me stayed with me and when I returned to my office I was ready to take action.

1. Alan Berg said to prioritize your to do list and keep the top 3 – done! It is amazing how much better that feels. You have a sense of being able to complete the tasks on the list and move forward.
2. Andy Ebon told me that the blog should be my number 1 priority and I have taken that to heart, that’s why I am doing a post today.
3. The Wedding Wire guys said use their FREE offerings to get mobilized. I had just gotten a mobile app for Wedding Network USA prior to arriving at the conference. While we are still updating the information, it is live, you can go to our website from your smart phone and you will be auto-directed to the mobile site and can add the app to your phone.

There was of course much more information that is on my list – but I am doing the top 3 first and then see where I end up next.
