Wedding Network has played a key role in the success of my business. Networking is a vital source for growing any business and keeping those relationships strong over the years. In 2009, I found myself outgrowing my current networking opportunities. The great food, spirit and local vendors were amazing. But, something was missing! That same year, Wedding Network was launched, and eager for something new, I was the first member to sign up in Seattle, Washington.

Our local chapter meetings have a focus on networking and education. Including: great food, beverages and connecting with top professionals in the wedding industry.

Our goal is to provide wedding professionals with a variety of opportunities and resources to help them grow their individual businesses as well as to advance the wedding industry as a whole.

Are You Interested in Starting a Chapter?

Wedding Network is a national organization of wedding professionals dedicated to education, networking and professional development.

Members receive educational tips in the monthly newsletters; access to our BizBoost Resources and special offers. Member companies are listed in the online membership directory with a link to their website. Local Wedding Network chapters provide members the opportunity to learn more about topics relevant to the wedding industry, network with their peers, enjoy great food, beverages and fun!

Things to consider:

Local Chapter Goals: (Viability)

  • Recommended attendance at a meeting is 25 people or more on a regular basis.
  • Meetings must be held quarterly at a minimum. Many chapters meet monthly and some meet bi-monthly. Meetings can be held at breakfast, lunch or dinner.
  • It is important to get feedback from the prospective members regarding which time of day works for them and the meeting frequency that would best fit the most attendees.

How Do We Get There? (Feasibility)

  • Before starting up a chapter, it is important to find out if there is enough interest in the local area for such a group.
  • The Wedding Network national office can work with you in the details of testing the waters in your specific area.

Local Chapter Director Requirements:

  • Leader in the Local Wedding Community.
  • Understanding of Business Basics related to insurance, permits and local laws.
  • Strong Leadership Skills to include: Communication, organization, and public speaking.
  • Able to spend up to 10-15 hours per month dedicated to Wedding Network development.
  • Current trend knowledge of the wedding industry.
  • Knowledge of Food and Beverage operations and catering documents is encouraged.

What’s in it for you?
Being a part of something bigger than yourself and your own business, gives you credibility in the industry. As Wedding Network continues to grow across the country, you will be a big part of the organization.
